House of Argan - Argan oil products

Argan oil is harvested from the kernels (nuts) of the Argan tree (Argania spinosa) in Morocco, which is valued for it’s nutritive, cosmetic and number medicinal properties. Argan oil remains one of the rarest oils in the world due the small and very specific growing area. This Argan oil is produced using mostly traditional methods, which can be a lengthy process done by women in the area. The cracking of the kernels is the most time consuming aspect, and this is still done by hand. argan oil is often named "the gold of Morocco" because of its exclusive soft nutty taste and the labour intensive process to produce it. Argan oil is exceptionally rich in natural tocopherols (vitamin E), in phenols, phenolic acid, carotenes, squalene and essential fatty acids.

It has twice as much vitamin E as olive oil and is rich in anti-oxidants, which help neutralize free radicals and prevent skin damage.
It is 80% unsaturated and contains eight essential fatty acids including Omega 6, which can’t be produced by the body.
It helps prevent loss of moisture from the skin, nose, lungs, digestive system and brain. EFAs also help the formation of prostaglandins, some of which reduce pain and swelling and others improve circulation and lower cholesterol levels and blood pressure.
