My partner and I have been trying for a baby for over 2 years, and we’ve tried everything. Finally, I found Rima and she was honest from the start and made no false promises – which I like. After 4 months of seeing her regularly I’m pregnant, and utterly delighted

If you fall into any of these categories you may wish to have Fertility Reflexology (Reproflexology™) as a support for your fertility.

What is Fertility Reflexology?

Fertility Reflexology (or Reproflexology™) is a specialised form of reflexology that helps to support reproductive health for everyone to support their fertility when trying to get pregnant.

It is the study of male and female reproductive systems and supporting these with a specific form of fertility reflexology.

It is suitable to use with natural conception and with assisted conception (IUI, IVF, ICSI etc).

Who is Fertility Reflexology for?

Fertility Reflexology is for anyone who may be experiencing issues with their fertility or reproductive health, and have recently been medically diagnosed and are receiving treatment.

This is a great way to support you in a complementary way.

We welcome:

  • All couples - same sex and heterosexual - trying to get pregnant
  • Single people trying to get pregnant

How does Fertility Reflexology work?

The care is focused around the people rather than symptoms.

We combine conventional and complementary therapies which focus on treating the whole person, rather than just isolated symptoms. This is called "integrative medicine".

Fertility Reflexology uses specific and prescriptive treatment protocols to address reproductive and fertility health for both men and women.

This includes providing support to:

  • regulate menstrual cycles and ensure that each stage is functioning at its best
  • improve sperm production and functionality
  • assist any underlying conditions – male or female
  • track improvements by using results from medical testing
  • enhance both physical and mental health to optimal levels

What happens during a treatment?

The initial appointment is a longer session, which will include time for a detailed consultation, including all personal and medical history and medical tests/treatments.

When you first contact us we will send you links to complete an online detailed consultation form and questionnaires.

From this it will provide a better picture about the best way to proceed with the reflexology.

Once the consultation is done you will receive the first reflexology session.

You will be asked to relax in a reclined position, either on a massage couch or recliner, in a darkened room and made as comfortable as possible with blankets and pillows and soft music.

The feet will then be treated using the specific finger/thumb microstimulation technique of the pressure points. Either an oil based balm or powder may be used on the areas that are being worked on.  The type of movements and pressures will vary throughout and will be personalised for your needs at that time.

During the treatment you may feel some tenderness or textures in certain parts of the feet, or possibly around the body.

Follow up and after care advice will be given at the end of the session, and possibly some “homework”, where you will be shown how to work specific points on your hands yourself in between treatments. General lifestyle advice, including dietary advice will also be given related to your individual needs.

Following the session you will be emailed more detailed information and advice regarding your treatments and discussions will be made about the best schedule of treatments for your needs.

Further follow up treatments are 1 hour long, where the focus will vary each time.

At Calm and Clear Complementary Therapies® we are trained in the specialised form of reflexology for fertility and conception, called Reproflexology™, and we are members of the Association of Reproductive Reflexologists.

Fertility Reflexology can be received before, during or after assisted conception (IVF, IUI etc).

We are fully trained to work with the drug regime that you are under and to work with what your body is dealing with as well as aiding with the side effects.

Many couples have found it very helpful to receive Fertility Reflexology treatments when dealing the stress and emotional upheavals linked with assisted conception methods, after miscarriages or just due to the disappointments from not getting pregnant.

The fertility reflexology treatments can support all people for all aspects of preconception. Including if you are about to start assisted conception (such as IVF, ICSI and IUI), are in the middle of treatment or after assisted conception where it has not worked or after miscarriages.
